John and Hannah Stewart supposedly had 4 daughters. Sarah Stewart (my ancestor) married John Osborn, a revolutionary war soldier, who died in Iowa where I grew up. Mary Stewart married Solomon Osborn and had 12 children. Rachel Steward married James King. Ann Elizabeth Steward married James Lewis. My understanding is that the last daughter was born more than nine months after John Stewart was missing and later found dead. This may be the basis for the erroneous story about Daniel coming home and finding his wife had a child by another man - surely an erroneous story.
Hannah married second Richard Pennington and had four children by him. Ivan
