They also liked the name Mary !! Sometimes I wish it hadn't been quite so popular, then I might find my Mary/Polly. She's the only one I've found, however, born c1746, and she married John Couch. I wonder if all the Georges were for the Kings of England -- up until the Revolutionary War. Then, of course, Georges were namd for the President. I have several uncles/gr uncles whose given names were George Washington. Thank you for responding. I appreciate it.
