There is a possibility that he joined the church later or was attending services with her, but had not joined yet when they married. Maybe he was some one known in the community and was more acceptable to the "Friends" than the person Israel married. There are two individuals who have done in depth research into Israel's wife, following along the same path they did, reading all church records available, even traveling to Indiana?, I think it was, where the university libarary has many writings on Daniel Boone and his family. No one has found any indication that his wife was an Indian. She may have been a totally unacceptable person for the "Friends" to take into their midst. She may have had illigible children (ADULTRESS) or may have been an ex-brothel worker. It didn't take much for a woman to be ostrasized back then. But in the end, no one knows what the reason was. But she was acceptable enough for Isreal's father and mother to withdraw from the church
because the church found her unacceptable. I don't know. But if you ever find out, the whole Boone family would like to know. It is a well-hidden secret.
