Regarding you question about Israel's marriage (s)? He only married once. There is no indication that he married an Indian women. It just states in the church records of the Society of Friends that he was excommunicated for marrying
"out" which was marrying outside the church which was against the rules of the church and caused excommunication.
After he left the church his father and mother also left the church and moved to another town. The reason that so many people thought he married an Indian was for the fact that the church records stated that he married "out" and everyone assume that he married someone who was outside the socially acceptable norm which at that time would have been an Indian who were thought of as savages by most people.
