My husband descends from Jonathan & Susannah Nixon Boone, Jonathan was brother to Jesse and son of Israel. Jonathan's son Thomas moved to the mountains of NC in what is now Yancey County and is the ancestor of all the Boones in that area.
I have not tried to research the wife of Israel. I would dearly love to know who she was but don't hold out much hope of ever finding out.
