According to Yancey census records Mary Edge was born about 1848-1850. She & Jason lived in Crabtree Township while they were in Yancey. In 1860 William Edge and Samuel Boon were next door neighbors. Was William Jason's father??? There were 2 girls named Mary in Samuel Boon's household.
I checked Yancey County marriages and according to records of Jason & Mary's children they were in Yancey in 1892 and by 1894 they were in Madison.
There are no death records that I can find in Yancey for Jason, Mary or any of their children. It is extremely hard to document the Boones of Yancey. I would suggest that you send a query to the Madison County court house and see if there is a death record for Mary Edge.
I think that she is the same Mary that is in the household of Samuel in 1860 listed as Mary Ann C. Boon, age 13. I don't know if she is a daughter of Samuel or not.
Both Kelsey and Sullivan are common names in the Yancey Boones. But they are mens names.
If Mary is a Boone then she is a descendant of Israel Boone brother of Daniel. Please post what you find to the forum. I have been working on these Boones for years and still have years to go.
Sandra
