Thanks very much for the answer! Since William Linville Boone was nephew of Daniel Boone, the relationship (rather stretching the meaning of the word) is:

Daniel Boone's grand niece(s) married the half brother of Kit Carson.

I especially appreciate putting to rest the claim (published in Frederick Jackson Turner's 1920 "The Frontier In American History") that Boone was related to Carson because the latter's "mother was a Boone."
