Who are the parents of Cassius A. Boone? He came to Florida about 1870 and was one of the incorporators of Orlando in 1875. He taught school at Blackwater Creek [also known as Cassia] near Sorrento and later at the first public school in Orlando. He also ran Lovell's Hotel. He was later Deputy clerk of Orange Co., {Fla} and Mayor in about 1882. Also was in the dairy business and bred a variety of oranges. The article in the Orlando Sentinel of Sunday July 31st, 1994 gives the above information. Have only part of the article. It also states that he is the great-great grandson of pioneer woodsman Daniel Boone of Kentucky. Thanks!
