Would you please post more info on your Boon/Boones? My 3rd GGF Richmond Pearson BOON/BOONE was b in Barren co KY, it is said ( no proof yet ) In some notes I found that my grandfather had written was this : Richmond Boon and his brother Jim were in the Blackhawk War. Now, Richmond was in St Francis co AR in 1840, he and a James Boon were on the St Francis co census . Richmond was still there in 1850 but James had moved on. Also, in the 1850 mortality census, a James Boon age 18 died of pneumonia after being ill eight days.
If any of this sounds like it might tie in with your Boones , please write.
