A Joseph Boone had a dwelling in Charleston, SC in 1717 and is said to have married Ann Axtel, widow of John Alexander. Ann was the daughter of "Longrave" David Axtell and sister to Elizabeth Blake. Joseph may have been a Governor and Lord Proprietor of the Colony of the Carolina's. Addational information indicates that a Thomas Boone, most likely a grandson, may have inherited Joseph's estate in SC but did not calim it until around the Revoluation.
