Your mother, Mary Martha (Skipper) Hess is my first cousin. Her parents, Harold C. and Mary (Gary) Hess were my uncle and aunt. Both are buried in the Forest Oaks Cemetery, Austin, Texas. Your aunt, Sherry Hess married John Bankston. I have been researching my Hess Family genealogy since last summer, and in the course of that, looked for various relatives that might have information and/or old photos of relatives. Your mother and aunt are just two of my relatives that I have not been able to locate. I only saw them a few times during childhood and no one in my family has any idea where they settled after leaving Austin, Texas. That happened a lot as I have found out from several distant cousins that I have located.
Let me know if this information fits with you, as it certainly appears to me that you and I are second cousins. I would like to hear from both your mother and aunt as well.
