Cindy, Some of us believe David was married before he married Margaret. He is on the 1820 census in Lincoln County, TN with 1 male 26-45 and 1 female 16-26. In the 1830 census, he is in Haywood County, TN with quite a large family. In the 1840 census, he is in Van Buren Township of Crawford County, AR. We have not found him in 1850. In 1860, he is in Sugar Loaf Township, Sebastian County, AR. Margaret is listed as being 45 years old, born in NC. David had died before 1870 and Margaret is listed as head of household. She is 54, born in NC. Sure sounds like the right Margaret Bookout, doesn't it? We have figured that Margaret was born about 1815-16. Do you have parents for your William? Thanks!
