Albert Bookhout of Madison WI was my uncle. Albert was the eldest of three sons (Albert, Russell, and Frederick) of Levi and Caroline Willett Bookhout. My father, Russell was born in Fitchburg WI; Albert may have been born there also. The family dairy farm went to Uncle Fred on the death of my grandfather, Levi Bookhout. Albert and my father had left the farm. Albert prepared cadavers for the U. Of Wisconsin medical school. Albert was married to Blanche Davidson. They had one daughter, Jean, who married Douglas Johnson. The information on Albert's family is from a Willett family genealogy prepared by Jean H. Willett in 1983.

Levi Bookhout was born in Ontario, Canada, the son of Stephen and Phoebe Harrington Bookhout. That's as far back as I have discovered, mostly with the help of others.

Those of us with an Ontario connection are trying to trace the lineage back to New York State.
