Hi, Priscilla,
I was looking at the 1790 USC (the printed version) and comparing it to a copy of the original on microfilm. The printed version (p.49)lists "Young Backer" and "Eliphalet Baker" residing next to one another at Wales ME. The original version has their surnames as Bucker, which is probably a further misspelling of Booker.
The Maine Hist. Soc is publishing a series of books called "Maine Families in 1790." They have published six volumes so far with more probably planned. The books list the family head (as named in the 1790 USC) followed by vitals on the 1790 census listee, his wife, and children. This is an excellent way of getting a piece on your family history into print. I have a piece on my Niles in Vol.6. I believe Eliphalet Booker was a Rev War Vet which deserves recognition in as many ways as possible.
The editor of Vol 6 was Joseph C. Anderson II, 5337 Del Roy Drive, Dallas TX 75229. I don't know if he will be the editor for Volume 7 but I'm sure he would direct you to the right person.
