I am seeking information on Elizabeth Robertson, b abt 1870, who married William Adair, 2 May 1806, Laurens Co., SC. According to Harris' book, "Heritage of Perry Co.", they were some of the earliest settlers in that part of Perry Co., AL which later became Uniontown.
William and Elizabeth are found on the 1850 Perry Co., AL census:
Pg 311A Woodville Beat 23rd Oct
Line 30 H7/F7 Wm Adair 70 farmer $11,000 b SC
Elizabeth 60 b SC
Columbus Moates 13 b AL [Columbus was their grandson, son of dau Pernecy and 1st husband]
[Their son William W & family were listed just before them.]
William died in 1851 and is buried in Water Street Cemetery in Uniontown. After his death, Elizabeth and some of her children moved to TX.
Her daughter, Mary married Joseph Scott. Joe and Mary moved to TX, where Mary died between 1850 and 1860.
1860 TX Houston Co Pg 215A, she is listed "Elizabeth Robertson 66 farmer $---/6868 b AL". Her son-in-law, Joe Scott & some of his and Mary's children are listed with her. They are all listed in the same household with Wm C Davis 37 b NY and his family.
