Annie
Annie Booco m1 Thomas R. Butt in Jackson County, Missouri. The family soon moved to Leadville, Lake County, Missouri and later to Montana where Thomas died.
Annie m2 Sigmund Wertheimer by whom she had one daughter.
In the 1900 census and again in the 1910 census she reported that she had ten children and seven were living. I can account for these children:
1. Annie R. Butt b. 1874 MO; m. Lee Westmoreland in Montana
2. Minnie C. Butt b. 1875 MO; no further information (She could be using her middle name that begins with a 'C')
3. Bertha E. Butt b. Apr 1880 in MT; m. Alonzo Venning in 1896; they both disappear from the record. The surname, Venning may be wrong?
4. Lottie Evelyn Butt b. 1884 CO; m. Harry D. Bushman and settled in Washington State.
5. Laura May Butt b. 1886 MT; m. Michael Heffernan; settled in Washington State.
6. Amy C. Butt b. 1889 in MT; m1 Mr. Case; m2 William H. Rice. They settled in Washington State.
7. Mary Frances Butt b. 1890 MT; m1 Mr. Thompson; m2 Allan Snyder and lived in Washington State.
8. Clara Wertheimer b. 1898 in CO; she m. Emmet Fred Snyder and lived in Washington State.
That accounts for eight of Annie's children. The other two could have lived such a short time that they were never recorded in a census or other document that I have found.
Of these eight all are accounted for in the 1900 and 1910 census except for Minnie and Bertha. One would have already died since Annie said she had seven living children. Does anyone know anything of them? Did Minnie marry in Montana? What happened to Bertha/Bertie after her marriage to Alonzo?
Any help would be appreciated!
