If you have not already uncovered the Bonzo line on the internet, our Bonzo branch came from the French speaking region of Switzerland. The original immigrant to the USA came in 1803 and eventually settled in what is today Beaver county PA. Originally the name as it appears in the records of Switzerland is Bonzon. Sometime after arriving in the US, the "N" fell off the ending of the name. Records go back to the early 1600s. If I am correct your great grandparents are Jacob Randall Bonzo and Virgina ?. Jacob is the son of Peter Louis Bonzo and Mary Ann Knowles. Peter is the son of Jean Gabriel Bonzon and Mary Powell. Jean was born in Switzerland and immigrated with his parents, Pierre Loys Bonson and Marguerite Magnenat. Hope this helps getting you started uncovering your family's past.
