Noreen, I have a great grandmother who is Elvira Bonney Sproat. Her mother was Florantha Thompson Sproat. She was the daughter of Cephas Thompson and Olivia Leonard. I don't know where the Bonney comes from but these names are surely close. Florantha was born in Middleboro, MA 1811 and died in San Francisco in 1888. Florantha also mentions in her letters home in the 1840s that she missed her Gramma Bonney. THAT is all I know. Interested in finding more. Just a wondering. Thanks, Sally
