Hi Ernie,
I am fairly new to the genealogy thing but felt compelled to send you a post.
I know we don't know each other but Joseph H. J. Bonney is my great-great-grandfather. My grandAunt Ethel (his granddaughter and daughter of Perley Leon) did some research on the name many years ago. My grandfather is Leon Elton. Aunt Ethel gave this info to one of my cousins who gave it to me. She even wrote some personal letters about Joseph, Perley, and her siblings. My aunt traced the name back to Thomas Sr b. 1604 in Dover, England.

If you would like this info contact me or send me your email address. I will gladly provide you with what I have.

My lineage goes like this:

Robert Bonney (me)
Roland Bonney (father)
Leon Elton (grandfather)
Perley Leon (great-grandfather)
Joseph H. J. (great-great-grandfather)

I also have some info on Joseph's wife Louisa Hatch.

Hope to hear from you.

Bob
(Robert Bonney)
