I am looking for information on a Mary Bonney who married George Smith in Princess Anne Co. VA in 1858. I am searching for the parents of my ggggrandfather John W.S. Smith. George Smith & Mary Bonney lived on Bray Rd. in Princess Anne Co. My gggrandfathers family owned land across the Lynnhaven River ( Kings Grant area now ) in the county. Some of the surnames living around the point that my grandfathers family owned were White, Caton, Sattlethight, Bailey, Godfrey, Gregory, Hurd, Dozier, Keeling, Butt
I know the connection is there somewhere but I cant find the missing link. My family of Smiths owned the land from my grandfathers point out to Va Beach Blvd. There is still a small family cemetary at the intersection of Kings Grant Rd & No Lynnhaven Rd. They also married into the Diggs, Butt, Keeling, Waterfield and Dixon families.
