Joseph was my Great Uncle. another side of my family, My great aunt Effie Jane Thurman married William H. Bonney around the same time.
Before that time during the civil war, William H. Bonney(another William H.) fought with the second Missouri Artillery and Henry C. Bonney fought in the 3rd Calvery, along with Dondell C. Bonney.
Edward Bonney is born in 1841 and says his mother was from Virginia and father was from New York.
