LE,
I have a puzzle: I DID have 2nd great-grandparents. who were John P. BONNER and Margaret LITTLE. According to Anna BONNER, their daughter and my great-grandmother, who married Isaac "Newt" COOK, the Bonner name was German. I don't know. I do know that John P. was a Presbyterian missionary to the Indians in Indiana and southern Ohio, which is how Anna met "Newt" Cook. He was 1/8th Shawnee, from his great-grandmother, Olithi. Olithi(Beautiful, in English) was the only daughter of Pochanta, the Shawnee chief of the Maukajay Sept, and Silver Bird(don't know the Indian name),in what is now Adams Co., Ohio. I have had no luck in finding where John P. Bonner or Margaret Little came from. Anna was born in Indiana, and d.ABT.'20(not looking at the Tree, now) Adams Co., OH.
Thanks for any assistance you can give!
Polli B.
