I have no proof as of yet but believe William may be the brother of Thomas 1690 - 4/7/1765. Thomas was a member of the North Carolina Assembly in 1759 and was named the high sheriff of Beaufort County, North Carolina. Thomas was also the father of Colonel James Bonner, a recognized patriot and founder of the original Washington, N.C. (the first town named for George Washington) Their father was Thomas (no data) and his father Thomas (died 1685) from Kent, England and settled south of Richmond, Va.. Actually, your question is the second one concerning William I have run across today. The other asked if I had any information on William, Thomas' brother or any other brothers or sisters of Thomas. I hope this helps.
