The first Presbyterian outbound ships from Ireland in the early 1700's were from I believe Donegal and Antrim.I have been over to Ireland researching Bonners in both counties(about 8 trips).I have found that most of the Bonners in Donegal present day are Roman Catholics. In the 1700's those who came out of Donegal may have been Presbyterian.I do know that I have ever found a single Bonner in Co. Antrim that were RC in a church burrial yard. They were mostly Presbyterians(Only one Church of Ireland Bonner). There is a church that has two burrial yards, an old one and a new.In the old one there is a half a dozen to a dozen Bonners there. It is in a Presbyterian Church yard east of Ballymoney, Co Antrim a few miles.I extracted 10,000's of names from about 91 burial grounds in Co. Antrim.
If they did come from Co. Donegal they might be in the area around Moville, but most of the RC are from Adara region of Co. Donegal.
