TB, I've been able to find a few things: the williambunnelfamily website shows a Hannah Bonnel b. 175-, daughter of Thomas Bonnel (1718-1790) of Hanover Twp NJ. Hannah married John Rague of Morristown (actually of France) by Wm Bayles at the Hanover Presb church Jan 1, 1781. This Hannah has a brother James Bonnell (1754 - 1814) who was a Captain in the Continential Army which fits a story in S.W. Phoenix, The Whitney Family of Connecticut, 1878, pg 566. In J. Littell, Family Records and Genealogies of the first Settlers of Passaic Valley, 1852, pg 340, it states that Hahhah's first born, Betsey was brought up by her cousin, Lois Johnson who was the wife of Gabriel Johnson who lived in the Passiac Valley. I've also found that Hannah collected a pension for John's war service up until at least Sept 1843.
I'm still interested to learn Hannah's actual birth and death dates. If you happen to stumble upon them I'd be thankful. I suppose I should find John Rague's Pension application. I'll bet the answers are there.
