I have found a possible clue to Priscilla's ancestry. Living near her in the 1860 Census of Orange County, Florida, was one Jephtha Purvis. His first wife was Cassandra Bonnell. According to info posted on the LDS website by a fellow named Frank Lane, Cassandra was a daughter of Anthony Bonnell (1770-1825) and Rebecca Elizabeth Miller (1780-1851) of Bulloch County, Georgia. But, he does not list a daughter named Priscilla among their children. Perhaps this is an omission, or maybe she and Cassandra were cousins?! Still no solution to this mystery!
