I have the information that you are looking for. It really is too much to put on here but if you e-mail me maybe we can talk a little and maybe you have some information that I don't have. I just recently received my grandmothers (Hazel (Swart) Lott genealogy books just two weeks ago and low and behold guess what I have in them. I have: Nathaniel Bonnel married around 1690-1695 Mary Searing. He was a carpenter and resided all his life at Elizabeth town. He died Sept 4,1736 names of wife Mary and Children. To sons Natheniel and Isaac he left all land in Elizabeth town. To Nathaniel he also left "my land above the mountains west of Elizabeth town", to sons James, 140 acres at Scotch plains. Wife Mary and son Nathaniel were appointed executors. Children of Nathniel and Mary Bonnel 3. Abigail born ca 1699 mariied a Mr Morris 4. Isaac born ca 1702 5. James born ca. 1701 died Sept 27,1778 in his 78the year married Sarah________? who died march 14 1791 in her 76th years Both buried in Scotch Plains Baptist Church yard. 6. Sarah born ca 1704 married a Mr Thompson 7. Mary born ca 1706 married Samuel Chandler. She died nov 4 1763 in 58th year Captain Nathaniel Bonnel inherited from his father, the land above the mountains west of Elizabeth town, and about 1736 he settlled at Turkey ( Now New Providence N.J.) He married after August 1719 Joanna Mill of Westfield daughter of Samuel (died 1759) and Elizabeth (Riggs) Miller. Samuel's will dated April 9th 1735 and proved oct 7,1760 names daughter Joanna as the wife of Nathaniel Bonnell Jr. Captain Bonnel (Nathaniel was named in the Elizabeth town charter 1740, as a member of the common Conncil. He was a free holder of the Borongh of Elizabethtown in1755. His military title is supposed to have been gained in the militia, possible whil serving in the French and Indian war. He died Nov 18, 1763 in his 67 year and his widow Joanna who married 2nd Deacon Timothy Whithead, feb 1 1793 in her 91st year. Both are buried in the Madison (Bonnel town) cemetery. I have alot more information but I have limited time on the internet so can't possibly put it all in, my heart is pounding , today was the first day that I looked for family relatives on the internet and it just so happened that I picked the Bonnel name.
