A cousin had THOMAS BONNELL researched. The notes for BENJAMIN BONNELL born before 1595 in Flanders and died 1607 in London. Dates of birth, marriage, death and wife's name are not recorded. BENJAMIN was probably born in Flanders and died after 1607. There were four sons by THOMAS BONNELL's first marriage (name unknown), however, the name of only one is recorded by Mrs Carolyn Syron Valentine. (from Syron-Searing Wills, Deeds, Ways by Carolyn Syron Valentine, Washington, D.C. 1925; pages 100, 103 and 104.) "THOMAS BONNELL, founder of what we call the Norwich-London Line of the family, was an elder in the Walloon Church in 1595. He bacame Mayor of Norwich, page 104. In 1607 BENJAMIN brought a letter from the Walloon Church at Norwich to the London Dutch Church. BENJAMIN was the younger son of THOMAS by his first wife, page 103. BENJAMIN BONNELL, son of THOMAS, the English founder, was the immediate ancestor of WILLIAM, as there is no proof to the contrary."
