'revalide is simply a "revalidation" of a ceremony that had not taken place in the church proper. This happened quite often in the late 1700-1850's, sometimes after the birth of several children. Nothing is to be construed that the original ceremony was not legal, it just was not recorded at the time. Sometimes the ceremony was performed by a traveling priest to the areas that were not served by a "real" Church due to the distance involved.
