According to our family genealogy, Rachel M. Bonham was listed as the first child of Oliver Perry BONHAM and Almira Cleveland. Rachel's birth date is given as 17 Jul 1845, although Oliver Perry and Almira were not married until 15 April 1848. However, she is listed as their child in the 1860 Census. My husband's great uncle (Oliver Perry Bonham's grandson) referred to an Aunt "Mel" who married a Sol Redd.
Rachel died in Opelisk, KS in 1934. Perhaps her death certificate will have her parents' names. Her name would be Rachel Ledman or Leadman because she re-married after Sol's death.
