The Maryville Weekly (Maryville, TN) Friday, February 6, 1880

In the State vs. A.J. Queener, J.L. Shipe and S.O. Shipe for the killing of H.M. Bonham, at Clinton (TN), the jury, last Monday, acquitted Queener. Maj. Shipe and his son were found guilty of assault and assault and battery, repectively, and were fined $50 and costs. The general opinion is that the result is an outrage upon justice.
