According to the Henderson and Sholar Lineages of Duplin County,North Carolina Compiled and Edited by Elanor Daphine Smith Draughon :
John Quincy Henderson,born ca 1833 in New Hanover Co., son of Etherton Henderson and Elizabeth Gano, married ca 1857 to Marinda(Manerva), born ca 1838 in New Hanover Co.,daughter of William Deal and Malinda(Linda) Pickett. Issue:
1)John William Hendrson b.Aug 1858,m.(1)Crystal Adeline King (2) Alvania Jane Henderson
2)Jacob H. Henderson b. ca 1860 New Hanover Co.
3)Mary Ellen Henderson b.ca 1864 in New Hanover Co. m. Aug 14 1883 in Duplin Co. to Obed Bonham b. ca 1855
4) Martha C. Henderson b. ca 1865
5)Nancy E. Henderson b. ca 1876 in Pender Co.
6)Manerva A. Henderson b. ca 1880 in Pender Co.
7)Jasper Q. Henderson b. ca 1880 in Pender Co.

There is a note in the book stating the family moved to GA ca 1900 and that John Quincy was a minister.
