I checked the Ohio map, and could not locate a Holmes City, OH.

However, I found a Holmesville, which is located on the Kilbuck River in Holmes Co.

Do you think this is the same location, which perhaps underwent a name change?

I also have a William Bonham in my background, but he was born in the late 1800's in Hancock Co. OH. He died in OK in 1948.

But, If I can get your relative situated, I'll be happy to search my files.
