Gayle,
I also have in my records that Peter and Lydia are brother and sister, and Jacob and Nancy Chamberlaine Bonham are their parents. I have quite a lot of information on Lydia as she married an Overturf. According to Dorothy Cunningham, Lydia died in Iowa on 14 Sept. 1856 in childbirth or soon after. Twenty-five years of child bearing had taken its toll. Her age given on her tombstone was 46 years, 4 mos, 4 days, making her birthdate May 10, 1810. This writer believes this is off by one year for if she was born on 10 May 1810 this would have been 4 months before her parents wed. Lydia was the first dtr. of Jacob L.Overturf and Nancy (Chamberlain)Bonham, who were maried in Fairfield Co. OH on 20 Sept. 1810 (Marriage REcord). In addition to Lydia, Jacob and Nancy had two more daughters and two sons, one of whom died between 1820 and 1830. The surviving son was Peter C. Bonham, who m. and migrated to Indiana. The other two dtrs. were Lavina Bonham and Eliza Bonham who m. Josiah W. Smith and migrated to Iowa with her mother and half-brother Jacob Creager, at about the same time the Simon Overturf family did. Jacob L. Bonham, and Nancy Chamberlain as Pioneer Ancestors of First Families of Ohio, and thereby giving the identity of Lydia's parents.
Hope this helps. Stella
