Larry,
Just a thought on possible connections: Nehemiah McDaniel Bonham was a son of Martin L. Bonham and Orpha McDaniel born in Dec. 4, 1816, Blount Co., TN and moved to Missouri in 1846. He graduated from McDowell Medical College in 1848. He appears on the 1850 census in Howard Co., MO. He had two spouses and several children, all born after his move. I have not followed this Tennessee line to date. Another possibility is another Nehemiah Bonham, brother to Martin. He moved to Blount County, TN in 1809 with Martin and another brother, Benjamin from Wythe Co., VA. He appears in some County Court records from about 1810-1819 and then disappears from Tennessee. Records indicate he moved eventually to Wisconsin where he died in 1845, but he had at least one daughter that ended up in Missouri on the way (Isabella, born 1814 in Blount Co., TN; married Samuel Inlow in 1834 in Ralls Co., MO). I don't have complete records on this Nehemiah's family: only Isabella and a son, James, born 1799 in Virginia. Surely there were more children? Maybe these are leads that you haven't considered before. Let me know if I can help.
Paula Via
