My research on Thomas Bonham born 1851 in Deddington Oxfordshire has moved on. His father was William Bonham baptised in Deddington in 1818. William was the son of John and Ann Bonham. William's father was John Bonham bap Deddington 1771 and the son of William And Martha. William Bonham married Martha Bissill in Deddington in 1770. William senior died and was buried in Deddington in 1834 and his age was given as 87. This would put his year of birth at around 1747. I cannot find where this William came from before he moved to Deddington. It doesn't seem to be Oxfordshire as the Oxford Family History Society has a comprehensive Baptism index and the only William Bonham born in Oxfordshire around this time was in Wardington but a William Bonham was buried in Wardington and the age matches up with this one so I think that we can rule him out. Does anyone see any possible link with their researches here?
