This man is the Uncle of my great-grandfather, Peter Bonesteel Christian, who lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Peter was born in 1850 and died in 1929. His mother was Catherine Augusta Lee Bonesteel and his father was George Christian. The Bonesteels were Anglo/Prussian in the Duchess County area of New York, near Red Hook, from the latter 1600s. The Christians were Anglos who evacuated from Wicklow County of Ireland during the first decade of the 1800s, arriving in New York and North Carolina.
The Christians were heavily involved in industry and agricultural processing in Minneapolis. My great-grandfather, Peter, lived in Mexico during the 1890s and in Texas on the border, also being in involved in agriculture and ag. processing in those areas.
Thanks for your attention.
David Christian Newton.
