The only thing I am going on for the parents of my Sarah is part of her obituary (see below). One of my questions is why was the obituary written three years after her death? Her age and year of death do not add up either.Tom Maquoketa Paper "The Excelsior" March 5, 1903 Sarah Bonar, Eldest daughter of Mathias and Catherine Bonar was born near .Felicity, Clermont Co, Ohio, Dec 8, 1823 and died at her home near Andrew Co. Iowa's, Feb 8. 1900. Age 76 yr. and 2 Mo. Her parents were among the early settlers of Indiana and it was there she met and married Abraham Risinger, April 21, 1844. They came to Iowa in 1854, landing at Burlington, Iowa in April and later in the Same month they went to Washington Iowa., where they remained until Sept, when they came to Bellevue, Iowa, This county, in and near which city she has ever since resided. Four children were born to bless this union - Leonard of Chadron, Nebr., Sarah Susanna - Seth Edwin and Arnal P., a.11 of Jackson County, Iowa survive to mourn the loss of a loving and fond mother.
