My Bonars also used Boner and Bonner as their surname, have you found any variations with your family's surname?
My Patrick was from Drumkeen and his wife Annie Slevin was from Killygordon. They lived in Manorcunningham and had 8 children; William, Annie, Elanor, Charles, Patrick, James, Rebecca and Mary. The children were born between about 1860 and 1874, I presume Patrick would have been born some twenty odd years before, Annie (wife) died in her early forties. Annie the daughter, was my ggrandmother.
The area my Bonars came from was close to Letterkenny.
