Are you from Warrick County? I live in Evansville- which is Vanederburgh County- It sits next door to Warrick County. I have been researching the surname Bone but decided to look here on a hunch. I have came across an index to Tract Book for Warrick County IN Vol I & II -- It lists a James Wellington Bone and a Jas. Wellington Boner as well as a William Boner and Matthew Boner. I don't know how much help that is but perhaps will give you someplace to look. I myself have not been back to library yet to look it up as it sparks my interest also. I am looking for relatives of a John Bone who married Artemas Small in 1836 but then he died in 1849 leaving behind two sons ages 9 and 11 and his wife. Both sons went on to have many children leaving quite a legacy but I can not seem to locate any family for John Or Artemas. I am wondering if perhaps the name was changed sometime in here because at this time many were illiterate. As a matter of fact his son William Henry Bone went on to become a schoolteacher and then became constable of Owen towship Warrick County. He had very little schooling. Perhaps we could help each other --e-mail me at L1961G@sigecom.net Thanks-- Linda
