Bone Family Genealogy Forum

I was wondering if you know what part of KY that Young Bone was from? Here it looks as though you are speculating the mother was Catherine(?)Bone. I am trying to gather data about a group of Bone family out of KY around this same time. I have quite a bit of information and documetation on a John Bone who ended up in IN and who died in 1849. All arrows point to his parents possibly being Cornelius Bone and Triphena Reeve. Cornelius Bone married Triphena in 1810. and per what I am piecing together from census records she would have been born around the year 1793. Cornelius I am not sure about, but I do know he went off to fight in the Battle of New Orleans and I can not locate anything on him after this. Other researchers have speculated that he and Azariah may have been related. I also have been keeping an eye out on an Alfred Bone around that same time. I am curious if they are all brothers or related in some other means. Cornelius Bone married Triphena Bone in Muhlenburg County, KY and I Azariah Bone could be found next door in Todd County. I also have found mention of a death on a Catherine Bone either in Muhlenburg County or Todd County, KY. But since I was not sure who or how she was related I have stuck her away in a file somewhere here for the time being... If I remember corectly. The article stated she had passed away before the church was built. I will see if I can locate it. Of interest also is that John Bone - revolutionary soldier was also from Muhlenburg County around that time period as well as his children. My own John Bone who died in 1849, passed from Cholera in Helena Ark. his wife and children remained behind in Warrick County, IN. He married Artimas Small in 1836 in Warrick County. The only other Bone in the area at the time was Trifenia Bone who married Charles Little in 1838. According to the 1850 census Charles Little was 80 years old & Trifenia (They had her listed as Fraphina) was 57. That would have put her born around 1793. The census also showed she was from KY. My speculation is that her marriage to Charles Little was a second marriage & that she was first married to Cornelius Bone who went off to battle and never returned. I am trying to round up documentation to support or disprove this.... but of course if I could find the family of either Cornelius or Triphena that would be wonderful. Please e-mail me and I would love to exchange data with you. L1961G@sigecom.net
