Don Carlos Shepard is my great-great-Grandfather, married to Artie Bone Shepard. My brother is Don Carlos Shepard, II. The two, based on old family pictures, look exactly alike.

My great-grandfather, Artie's Father, was the Reverend John Henry Bone, who was famous in West Texas as a Circuit Minister, riding horseback through the Indian Territory to preach the gospel. I have a clipping from the front page of the Burkburnett paper about his widely attended funeral. He is buried in Waxahachie, 30 miles from Dallas, where I live. I understand I have cousins, the Roes to this day in Waxahachie.

It is interesting because when I was a young actress, I performed the young princess in LION IN WINTER, set in Acquitaine. Who would know it was somewhat, and one of, my families many nomadic homelands.

Yes, Don Carlos Shepard one and two are men in my family.
