There are many sources of the information. One is Robert Gehlmann Bone, PhD, who published a book entitled łThe History of the Bone Family of America, 1692-1850˛, A393268, 12/27/72.

Dr. Bone traces elements of the family to John le Bon, s/o Margaret de Bohun and her first husband Sir Richard le Bon de Bohun. Family tradition has always claimed that there was such a marriage. Dr. Bone found documents that indicated that Margaret was married before her marriage to Hugh de Courtenay. The marriage to Sir Richard, if authentic, is sufficient to establish a royal connection, English, Scot, French, and Spanish. See discussion on pages 246-248 of book.

Dr. Bone and other sources list a marriage of Don Carlos Shepard, aka Donald C. Shepard, and Artie Magnus Bone. Do these connect with you?
