Joyce...I happen to be a cousin of Cheryl's and I just came across this as I was googling for Bond info.By chance does the gravestone for Elisha Bond have the dates 1805-1884 on it?To explain a bit, Cheryl and I have an ancestor, Elizabeth Bond (1803-1873), buried in Maryland Line cemetery with a James Bond and his wife Elizabeth (nee Sampson). We have never been able to figure out exactly how our Elizabeth is connected to James and his wife, or even who our Elizabeth was married to (or if she ever was). However, some descendants of James and Elizabeth (Sampson) Bond have managed to get some info compiled on their lines connecting to James and they do have an Elisha Bond listed in their tree. Our ancestor, Alfred Bond, was born in what was New Market (Maryland Line).Sort of a lengthy story but our Bonds were from Baltimore County before settling in York.Alfred Bond has been a dead end, although the surnames Gorsuch, Pocock, & Krout all tie-in with James & Elizabeth (Sampson) Bond's descendants, who were from the same area as well.
