Clay:Sir John Bond was from Yorkshire (do not have his dates) and came to St. Marys City attached (in some fashion) with the Cecil Calvert in 1634.They may have been kinsmen.I believe he is kin to Thomas. His wife's name I think was Elizabeth (don't have dates.) Of their children, the only one I know of is my direct ancestor, who was Dr. John Bond of St. Mary's City. He had several children:Thomas (the doctor), Richard and John (all who fought during the Revolution). Also Susannah Bond, b. 1740, who married James Smalley Bate, my (5th?)gr. grandfather.
If this is your same family, I have a bit of research that may help. But there are (as always) gaping holes.Suzannah.
