The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa Thursday, October 15, 1906 A very pretty wedding occurred on Wednesday, Oct. 10th, at the home of MR. and MRS. GEORGE BRENNAMAN in English Township, when their daughter JESSIE was united in marriage to MR. FRED DUNSHEE of Chariton. Promptly at 6 o clock the bridal couple, preceded by little ETHA, sister of the bride, as flower girl, took their places in front of a bank of cut flowers and smilax, where their pastor, Rev. Bolton, pronounced the words which made made them man and wife. The bride was beautifully gowned in white pearline lawn, trimmed in valencienes lace and insertion, and carried a bouquet of white asters. The groom wore the conventional black. A bountiful dinner was served to about sixty invited guests. There was a large display of valuable and useful presents which were highly appreciated. Both bride and groom were raised in this community and need no commendation MR. DUNSHEE has been bookkeeper for Busselle Bros. for the past two years, and is now with Busselle and Blanchard. They will go to housekeeping at once in a cottage on North Main St., already furnished by the groom. The guests from a distance were Mr. Clayton and Miss Mary Bell, Mr. Paul and Miss Nellie Bonar of Van Buren County, cousins of the groom, Mrs. Richard Foster of Orient, cousin of the bride. Those from Chariton who were present were L.H. Busselle, Bert Callahan and sister, Wm. Bigham and wife. The Leader joins their many friends in wishing the happy couple a long and prosperous career. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Copied by Nancee(McMurtrey)Seifert (with the help of Gary Tharp) November 5, 2004 iggy29@rnetinc.net http://www.rootsweb.com/~ialucas/Main.htm Notify Administrator about this message?
