Joseph Bombardier 1850-1927 and Delima Forand 1854-1932

Joseph and Delima are my ggrandmother's parents and I can't find their marriage info so I can determine who their parents were.

Their daughter, Louisa Bombardier, was born in St Albans, VT in 1877

When their daughter, Louisa Bombardier, married Louis Benoit in New Bedford in 1894, the bride's mother was listed as " Rose D. Forand ". The headstone for Joe and Delima reads "Joseph Bombardier 1850-1927 and Delima Forand 1854-1932"

It is possible that they met and were married in VT, or they might have been married back in the Richelieu River valley and immediately moved to St Albans, VT. They were likely married c. 1875

I can't find the marriage in the Drouin collection and the VT marriage database i have access to does not go back that far.

I also believe they moved from VT to CT about 1880 and had 3 more daughters born near New Haven from 1882-1886. They then moved to New Bedford about 1890, where all four girls were married from 1894-1911.

Any info or hints about lineage of either Joseph Bombardier or Rose Delima Forand would be greatly appreciated.

Paul Benoit ( Benoist dit La Brière )
