I am also related at the Alex Bombardier connection. He was my great-great grandfather. My greatgrandfather, Joseph, was his oldest son and deeded the family farm in Valcourt. The site is still there. Although just a foundation in the late 70's. It is said he left Valcourt with 3 brothers for the US. I had corresponded with a Robinson a few years ago who relayed the Barber connection. A story in my family is that some Bombardier's signed up to join a logging crew under the name of Barber in upper NY and ended up in the Union Army. There are Barbers on the NY Civil War list!

I have the tree back to France which i can share if you wish. e-me lbomb@ix.netcom.com
