Gerald Earl of Lincon[2nd marriage] produced Roger de Romare who married Lucia co-heiress of Earldom of Mercia.They produced Oughtred De Bolton Lord of the Manor of Bolton [1100-1135].Lucia's 3rd marriage to Ranulph de Meschines Earl of Chester produced the line of the Earls of Chester.My family tree follows Oughtred's 3rd son Hugo De Bothelton [1197-1210],28 generations to the Boltons of Hull,York,Narva Estonia,Claygate,Russia,Australia and NewZealand.Thousands of names and dates.I also have a large book of the Bolton's-130 years old,including a number of family trees relating to American Boltons including correspondence with Abraham Lincon.
