You guys lost. Get over it.

So much for politics. I found this in Ancestry's Civil War Service Records. They usually let people look at it for free around Veteran's day, if you'd like to duplicate my search.

Frank Boling
Unit: 1 Battery, Maryland Artillery.
Rank - Induction: Corporal
Rank - Discharge: Sgt. Major
Allegiance: Confederate

He isn't in their other two CW data bases.

This is from the 1860 census, which might be him. It might not; your F W may have ridden in from Pennsylvania to join up, Pennsylvania not having any Confederate recruiters handy.

Frank Bolinger
Medleys District, Montgomery, MD
age 19 (in 1860)
b. Maryland

Sincerely,

Ted Pack

3rd G-Grandson of Peter Milton Morgan, late 118th Ohio Volunteer Infantry.

2nd G-Grandson of George Waterman cady, late 10th Missouri Cavalry (Union).

3rd G-Nephew of Samuel Cyrus Pack, late 10th Virginia Sharpshooters.
